Clarkesville, Georgia · Mountain & forest

A wooded inn,
a room to linger in.

Glen-Ella Springs Inn

Timber porches, a garden at the edge of the woods, and a small inn with dinner downstairs. North Georgia is close enough that the journey can stay a small part of the weekend.

A room worth staying in

Penthouse Suite 32

In-room fireplace · meadow view

A fireplace, king bed, wood-lined walls, reading chairs and a jetted tub make this a room with reasons to stay in. Suite 32 is on the third floor. The porches and sitting areas outside the suite are shared.

Dinner at the inn

Make the inn’s restaurant the main evening plan. Reserve dinner separately from the room.

02

Tallulah 1882

Make a small outing to Tallulah Falls for tea, espresso and house-baked goods at the family-run café. It is a good reason to get out without turning the day into a long excursion.

The gorge from above

Choose a short rim-trail walk at Tallulah Gorge State Park for the overlooks. Leave the strenuous gorge-floor hike out of this gentle weekend, and check current trail conditions before going.

Getting there

An easy North Georgia drive.

Drive · around 2–2½ hours

Roughly 90 miles from Atlanta. Allow about 2–2½ hours, with more time for Friday traffic and the final approach. No flight, airport parking or rental car needed.

The inn’s directions warn that the final gravel road is narrow and recommend arriving before dark for your first visit. Add time for Friday traffic and plan an early departure.
