A meal at Sazón
Make one dinner the occasion. Sazón’s menus offer a starting point for an evening out; request a reservation separately and leave room for a slower dinner. Geronimo is another possibility to compare.
Explore Sazón →Santa Fe, New Mexico · Desert & town
A place with its own texture: adobe walls, a high-desert sky, art and food that make the town part of the trip. The Hacienda adds a warm living room of your own after an afternoon on foot.

A room worth staying in
Private fireplace · separate living room
A king bedroom and a separate living room with a fireplace create an inviting base for three nights. Breakfast and the evening reception are included. The appeal is the room’s warmth and the town outside, rather than a guaranteed mountain view.

Explore Sazón →The hotel’s Railyard setting puts the Plaza about a 15-minute walk away. Browse, stop for something warm, and come back whenever the fire sounds better than another stop. December is a cold-weather city break.
The Hacienda’s location →Take the included evening reception as permission to keep one evening simple. The hotel’s Amaya restaurant is closed for improvements until January 2027, so plan dinner elsewhere rather than count on it.

The researched Delta award itinerary departs Atlanta Thursday, December 3 at 1:59pm and arrives Albuquerque at 3:28pm Mountain Time. The return leaves Albuquerque Sunday at 4:35pm and reaches Atlanta at 9:37pm Eastern. A private transfer was priced for Thursday at 4:15pm and Sunday at 1:00pm. Allow roughly 8–9 hours door to door each way, not three.
The afternoon departure interrupts Thursday’s workday, and onboard Wi-Fi was not verified. The transfer quote is city-to-city, not a confirmed hotel-address booking; driver availability, pickup timing and the final fare still need checking. The shared shuttle would add a long wait after arrival. Allow for winter weather and the high-desert elevation.

Hotel rate detail and public award search observed November 5, 2026; final checkout not reached. Nothing is held.
Conditional on confirming the 113,000-mile award for two and the transfer. Delta’s return/final review failed, so the flight is a public search quote, not a final ticketable total. TakeOff 15 was not authenticated or deducted. The cash total uses estimated meals, transport tips, activities and contingency; a change in the award or ground fare can change the plan.
The public Delta search showed 113,000 miles for two round trips plus approximately $24 in taxes, on the afternoon flights described above. The return selection/final review did not complete. Availability, exact tax cents and any personal TakeOff 15 discount remain unverified. No companion-certificate savings are assumed. This uses a substantial amount of miles as well as cash.
This is not ready to book as one confirmed package. The hotel amount came from the rate-detail page, not final checkout. It showed a refundable one-night deposit and cancellation at least 72 hours before arrival by 4pm local time; the late-cancellation penalty was not displayed. Recheck exact dates, suite, deposit and terms. The private-transfer provider offers a 90% refund at least 24 hours before pickup and no refund inside 24 hours; confirm the hotel addresses and driver before paying. No hotel, flight, transfer or dinner is held.
